Community Service: Giving Back is in Our DNA
At Metro West Ambulance, community service is more than a tradition — it’s a core part of who we are. Since our founding in 1953, we’ve remained deeply committed to supporting the communities we serve, both on and off duty. Whether we’re helping patients or simply making someone’s day a little brighter, we believe in showing up for our neighbors in meaningful ways.
Educating Future Generations
We love sparking curiosity and sharing what we do. From fun, interactive show-and-tell sessions with elementary school students to career talks with high schoolers exploring paths in healthcare, our team is passionate about educating the next generation. These outreach events help demystify emergency medicine and inspire future EMTs, paramedics, and healthcare professionals.
Supporting Local Events
You’ll often find Metro West Ambulance at community celebrations, school functions, and sporting events, providing medical standby services to ensure everyone stays safe. These events also serve as opportunities for community education and injury prevention outreach. Whether we’re offering safety tips or distributing resources, we’re committed to helping our community stay informed and prepared.
Promoting Lifesaving Skills
Empowering the public with knowledge is a critical part of our mission. Through hands-only CPR trainings, we teach community members how to act quickly and confidently during cardiac emergencies. A few minutes can mean a lifetime, and we’re proud to help bridge that gap.
Standing with Local Nonprofits
Metro West Ambulance is also a proud supporter of many local nonprofits and charitable organizations. From fundraisers to food drives, we recognize that strong communities are built through collaboration and compassion.
The Corporate Citizenship Program
Through our Corporate Citizenship Program, we extend our commitment by sponsoring employees who want to give back. Each year, up to ten full-time employees are selected to spend a full, paid workday volunteering with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, UNICEF, Senior Services, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This program empowers our staff to make an impact beyond their day-to-day roles, supporting causes close to their hearts.
At Metro West Ambulance, service doesn’t end at the call. It lives in classrooms, community centers, event fields, and volunteer projects. Because for us, caring for our community is the heart of what we do.
